Minneapolis Minnesota FDCPA Lawyer - William C. Michelson - Fair Debt Collection

William C. Michelson

Minnesota Attorney

email:  wcm@marsomichelsonharrigan.com

William C. Michelson graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1977. He majored in political Science. William received his Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in 1981 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota in 1981.

William C. Michelson practices in several areas of the law including consumer, family, and business law. He represents consumers who have trouble paying their bills, typically their medical and credit card debts. He defends state court lawsuits for consumers and brings Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) claims on their behalf in Federal Court against harassing third-party debt collectors. To learn more about the FDCPA and common violations made by third party debt collectors, please refer to the links at the bottom of the page. He also negotiates consumer and business debts downward for people and businesses that can no longer afford to make their monthly payments. Mr. Michelson believes consumers are not as well represented as they should be, perhaps because many lawyers prefer to not practice consumer law. Mr. Michelson enjoys practicing law in this area because he makes a real difference in his clients’ lives. (If you believe that a debt collector has not been fair with you, click on the links at the bottom of the page to learn more about the FDCPA and the ways possible to protect your rights.)

Mr. Michelson has twenty-five years of experience representing clients with their dissolution of marriage, paternity, child support, child custody, and parenting-time (visitation) matters.  He has drafted hundreds of wills and other estate planning instruments for his clients. He has helped clients start dozens of corporations, and he has counseled them as their businesses grow and their legal matters become more complex. He has filed and prosecuted scores of mechanic's lien actions and bond claims for his building-industry clients. He has proudly represented many of his business clients from the beginning of his legal career.

Mr. Michelson will gladly speak with you or answer your e-mail inquires, and looks forward to hearing from you.
